View Full Version : [Variety Question] 1972 10C
I'm looking at this coin and it does appear doubled but could also be MDD. I'm just not sure.

Hi Pat and welcome to the CONECA forum.
Looking at your picture, which are very good by the way, it appears to be machine damage doubling. The shelf like structure of the doubling is a give away for this type of damage.

Man.. Well I tried.. :) Is there any main list of Top 10 Rosies to be on the lookout for other than the 82 NMM.
In terms of MDD would that affect Mint Marks on the dimes as well?

It almost looks like a RPM, however, since all mint marks are placed into the master die since 1990, it isn't.
Yes Pat, it can affect any design element.
