Perceptions ?

The doubling on the reverse appears to be Longacre's doubling, named after the designer and a peculiarity commonly found on IHC. However, I am not to sure concerning the doubling on the obverse that appears on the 75 digits of the date.

Hopefully Rick Snow will drop in and give you his opinion.

These pictures are all taken on the Obverse of the coin. There is no doubling on the reverse. The word America and the headress are all doubled. I took one shot of the end of the feathers on the headress as it shows up best there.

Sorry about that - I am so used to looking at AMERICA on the Lincoln cent my mind automatically thought reverse. Well anyway, it is still Longacre's doubling since it occurs on both sides of the lettering.
