Has anyone have any information on a 1930 Lincoln cent that is so thin, it is actually thinner then a Dime.

It is blurry, but, visable on Obverse and Reverse, but, can be seen with the naked eye.

It's diamature is just a little less then normal.

I think it may be unique.

Any idea's,= Thanks, Arthur

Hi Arthur and welcome to CONECA's forum

What you may have is the aftermath of a High School science project. A Lincoln cent can actually be shrunk (made thinner) by dipping it in an acid solution.

I have seen a few of these and if you are not aware of the cause, it can leave you scratching your head.

Yes, the description is consistent with an "acid job". They're seen all the time on eBay and I've got several of them.
