Can someone explain what a FINNED RIM is and how can you recognize one please? Thanks

A fin is a thin, sharp flange that extends vertically from the rim/edge junction. It's caused by excessive overall striking pressure or excessive localized striking pressure caused by slight die tilt. Low fins are relatively common; tall fins less so.
