I found Kennedy Half DD today. It was a 1964 mint set find (1964 P 50c) -- having a very minor DDO and a decent TDR on the flip side.

This was a set I'd searched before, when I first got into the hobby a few years ago. I may as well search the rest of my collection again, as it is clear to me I did not know what I was looking for back then.

The reverse has doubling all the way around -- but it is bolder at the HALF DOLLAR UNITED side of the coin. I looked on CONECA's site. There are a ton of 1964 listings - but this didn't look like anything described. Most of what is listed there are Proof DDRs.

I don't know much about Kennedy half die varieties - other than 1964 had many nice doubled dies and this is very minor by comparison. But would this be CONECA listable? Would the TDR considered a very light spread?

That is most likely from the master die reverse.

That is most likely from the master die reverse.

I had a feeling it was something like that. I can't imagine these being in mint sets all this time and not being listed.
