The new quarters are set to be released as I was wondering if it is possible to go to the Federal Reserve in Boston and just ask for some rolls on the day of release or do I have to reserve some?

I don't think the Fed will deal with the public. They distribute the coins to the local banks in the Boston area. That is where you will have to go to "reserve" your coins.
