  • 1986-D Penny with Doubled Date & Mintmark

This is a strange find today--a 1986-D penny with some form of doubling on the date and the mintmark--with my luck, it's just another MDD, but, I thought I would post some pics to be safe---FG on obverse is a mess, barely legible--same "Doubling" on AMERICA--veRYYY hard for me to photograph due to toning on coin, and my setup just isn't ideal--I will have to send this out for better pics--anyway, take a peek, and comment if you wish.
    Thanks
    Cal

The incuse doubling you see around the date is a fairly common manifestation of die deterioration doubling that is largely exclusive to zinc cents.
