CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • New post 2008 D and 2008 P 1c DDO and DDR

Thanks again (BJ!) for the clarification on my inital post of the 2008 1c DDO/DDR.

I'm posting 2 new ones to try if I have improved my DD understanding and visual inspections skills.

    Thanks!

    Hi ALL!

Anybody's comment if I correctly identify these doublings (and if minor or major???)

    Thanks!

      Hi,

I think that the lack of response is due to the fact that it is extremely difficult to make out the details that we would need to see in the pictures.

Creating the composite pictures is neat, but the resulting picture does not leave the details big enough to determine anything about the coin(s).

      Thanks,
      Bill
