CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • 1973-P DDO Eisenhower Dollar

Yesterday, I found this stunning heavily toned 1973-P IKE Dollar, came out of a vintage Dansco Album(the cardboard most likely caused the monster toning)--today, viewing the coin, I found medium Notching on the IGWT and LIB--Wexler states NO DDO's have been noted on either the 1973-P or D IKES--after I send this to be verified by Dr. Robert Ezerman, I hope to change the chapter in Wexler's Book! Man, what a killer coin--this is what coin collecting is all about. Hard to shoot, but I grabbed the notched 7 pretty well. This makes up for all the MDD I thought was DDO, and had to learn the sometimes subtle differences.

    Its possible:-) That's Great! I have a 1973 S Unc and a 1973 S proof , both with nice die doubling. I haven't seen any on P or D mint pieces.

Is there any chance you can get a picture of the IN GOD WE TRUST?

    Thanks,
    Bill
