Charles Daughtrey is organizing a Lincoln cent survey that will employ an army of volunteers, each of whom will sort 5,000 Lincoln cents. Among the goals is to check the relative survivorship of copper-alloy cents vs. copper-plated zinc cents. Another goal is to get a better estimate of the relative mintages of small date vs large date cents in those years in which both were minted (e.g., 1960, 1970, 1974, and 1982). If you'd like to participate in this project, go to Chuck's website: http://www.thecentproject.com/.

Doing my first $50.00 and if I have the time, I'll do another $50.00. Did manage to find a Lincoln cent, 1972 - DDO-002 and an interesting obverse trail die on a 1999 Lincoln cent, so there are benifits to doing this survey.

Wish I could participate but it's virtually impossible to get that many Lincolns in Canada.
