  • Bulge in front of Buffalo's eye

I came across this 2005-P Kansas State Quarter with an unusual bulge appearing in front of the Buffalo's left eye. I would welcome any comments on this coin.

Generally on modern coins that have a clad layer, bulges like this are caused by trapped gas between the layers. It may also be a die dent or an impression in the die that would be transfer to the coin as a bulge. Either way, it is a minor anomaly and does not enhance the value of the coin.
