  • 2008 jefferson die chip?

New guy here. Just found what I have been told is a die chip. This die chip is visable by eye. The chip is just below the first 0 in 2008. What I thought was strange is that I received two 2008 jefferson nickels in change and they both have the die chip in the same place, same size. I just wanted to know if any one else has found this die chip. Picture included, I hope.[/IMG]

Hi Rex 56 - Welcome to the CONECA forum.

Okay, first things first. Your picture did not come through.

As far as the die chip, you received two nickels that were struck from the same die. Die chips are not that unusually, unless they are exceptionally large or situated on the rim (cuds).
