CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    These are not good images but any opinion would be great as to sm. date vs. lg. date and an opinion on these. thanx

        Hi Kurious,

        I zoomed in your pic but it's too pixilated to determine by the date but another way to determine small and large is the strength of LIBERTY. Small date has a weak strike and yours looks pretty strong so I'm leaning towards a large date.

          Your best bet is to jump over to Coppercoins forum where there are a couple of discussions concerning small date / large date 1970 - S Lincoln cents. They also have pictures which will make it easier for you to determine what you have.

            Hi Kurious,

            The inner loop of 9 is curved upward, tails is pointed, 7 is at level with 9, weak liberty, I hope this will help.
