CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Good Day Everyone,

    I had sent a scan photo of a GW Dollar coin and I was told it may be an "Error Coin" and the suggestion was that I send it to PCGS. It was also suggested I come here to see what kind of error it may be and also do get some additional information from members. Could someone please tell me how to go about posting a picture of a coin? Thank you! It is a scan photo so it is not great, but I do think it shows the error. Would appreciate any help.

    I went in search of instructions on how to post a photo, I hope this works. If anyone can view this coin could you tell me if it is an "Error Coin" and if so is it worth sending out to PCGS? Thank you!

      Hi friend01 and welcome to this forum.

      The best ways to post pictures is explained in a post on that subject. If you will go to the main page of this forum, near the top you will see "sub forums". Find "helpful hints" and click on that subject. This will lead you to that post.

        It did work.

        To be honest, it appears to be post MINT damage to the coin.
