CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • 1959 D RPM-020?

I think I have a 1959 D RPM-020. The arrow labeled "A", I think, shows an extra D in the south position and the arrow label "B" shows an extra D in the Southeast position. What do you guys think? Am I right to say it's RPM-020?

I am more inclined to believe that this is RPM-001. If you would, check the pictures on Coppercoins and see what you think.

If it is a RPM-001 then do you thinks it's an EDS because of the under developed RPM, compared to the coppercoins picture which is MDS?

Can you attribute your 59D RPM as a RPM-001 using any of the CONECA listed markers? http://www.conecaonline.org/content/...9.html#_1959-D

Looking at your pictures, it appears that your coin is LMDS. But that is an educated guess. The absence of the secondary mint mark inside the main mint mark indicates it is before the LDS stage.
