CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

      I have to say i think you are seeing things that is the normal crease of the ear Here's your coin2008 ear and here's a 1997 doubled ear make the comparison.

        Just a normal ear on a normal Linclon cent.

          Have attached photos of some 2008D/P with normal ear creases.
          What could have possibly caused the more pronounced creases on the
          2 coins we've posted?

            I don't really see the difference but because you have them in hand, you may see a difference. An explanation for this may be that one is a stronger strike than another, a stronger strike will show more detail than a weak strike.
