  • 1947 Lincoln Cent DDO?

Could this 1947 Lincoln cent be a DDO? The only doubling I can see is on the B of LIBERTY. Would this be too minor to be concerned about?

    Thank you for your help,
    Larry Nienaber

    Hi Larry,
There is some master die doubling seen on LIBERTY, especially on early die state coins. I thuink that is what we are seeing here, although I can not be 100 % sure.

This is actually quite common on a lot of the coins from the 40s and 50's. It is in the design and similar to what you see on the D of GOD and the W of WE.
