Hello AGAIN!

Have attached photos of 4 coins from Denver Mint each from year 1990 to 1993.

Common to the 4 coins is the MINT defect (or RPMs?), which looked like multiple 'D' RPMs. Even with what seemed to be ruptured tilted 'D' is also
common.

I can only speculate this is material and/or process defect that went on for 4 long years in the Mint.

The 1990 start year for mint incorporation may also be factor.

Can this be a Mint variety?

Thanks,
NVTE

These are splits/disruptions of the plating. You can't have an RPM in the 1990's because the Mint stopped punching the mintmark into each working die by hand in 1990.

Many thanks again, Mike!

We both agree on the plating defect. Also understood the 1990 start year of incorporated mints to die hubbing.

The unusual thing is... the EXACT same defects (shape/form and location) in all four coins. Unless nothing has been abnormal in the process/materials during (at least in those 4 past years) I should not expect to see anything like these consistent features/defects/errors.

That's why I raised the question on the probability of having rpm variety???

Thanks,
NVTE
