CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • January F.U.N. show

Just wanted to let everyone know that we have a table for CONECA at this years winter FUN show. For those of you who have not attended this show, it is a must and who can resist four days of sunny, mild weather down in Florida. You can even throw in a trip to the mouse land.

    Hope to see you there.

With the help of a few members of CONECA, we have put together a BLIND DRAW raffle that will be held at this years (2008) FUN show. Here are some of the prizes.

1932 Washington quarter with DDO-001 and a small struck through a foreign object.

    2001 Lincoln cent with DDO-001

2004 Lincoln cent with DDR-001 and minor obverse doubled die.

    (2) 2004 Lincoln cents with DDR-003

    1997 Lincoln cent with DDO-001

    (3) Washington quarters with Type "B" reverses

    (50+) 1960-d Lincoln cents with RPM-001

    (6) 1961-D Lincoln cents with RPM-001

(6 ea) 1998 & 2000 Lincoln cents with Type II reverses

PLUS - finned coins, strike throughs, wavy steps, obverse doubled dies and minor DDRs.

For 50 cents a draw, you can not afford to stop by and take a chance. All proceeds will be donated to the CONECA general fund.

    Hope to see you there.

I'll be there, can't wait. Do you have a table # so I can find it easier?

Coneca's table number is 0558, which is in the back of the hall, near the exhibition tables.

For those of you who are coming down from the North, the temperatures for the FUN show will be in the mid to high 70s during the day and mid 50s in the night. Also, it appears that we will be dry with no rain in the forecast.
