Strike Thru Wire

I found this strike thru wire with the piece of wire still attached. Is it common to find a strike thru with the object still attached? This is on the reverse of a 70D Kennedy Half Dollar.

That is a cool find!

A while back, I found an SMS Sac dollar with a black rubbery blob on the reverse. I pulled it off - unearthing a pretty deep crater. But I recently learned that pulling it off was a mistake. I was told that strike thru errors with the debris still imbedded/attached are more valuable (and interesting). So - I'm happy to see that you left the wire debris in place.
