This post relates to duplication of peripheral design elements in the southeast quadrant of the reverse face of Washington dollars. Extra elements are replicated on the internal margin and upper surface of the design rim. Sometimes they show a rotation relative to the normal elements. Sometimes they can take up the internal half of the rim. In one case more than one set is present. Quite a few die pairs are involved. BJ Neff alerted me to the phenomenon and I've got an article on it coming out in Errorscope.
