I am looking for some help with the edge lettering on the John Adams Dollars. I recently looked at 300 dollars and found 21 of the coins with edge lettering that is shaped like a "u" with the edges striaght and the bottom flat and what looks like the outline of the letter at the bottom. All the other coins have edge lettering that is shaped like a "v". The difference between the two is very easy to identify. Has anyone noticed this? I am also looking for ideas on a possible cause.
