CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Posible RPM?

    Could I get any opinions whether or not this would be and RPM…not the MDD, but the remnant north. This is from a 68S PR Roosevelt Dime.

    Larry, I can see what you are talking about and to be honest with you, I would suggest having James Wiles take a look at it since I see only one listing for a proof Roosevelt dime for that date.

      Looks more to me like machine doubling and or a damaged punch having been used.

        It might be what Alan Herbert refers to as "flat field doubling" -- an effect related to the fact that all proofs are struck more than once.
