CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

I am not so sure that this is an RPM. There is definitely something there though, but it looks like it might be a gouge or chip or something. However....I will not say it isn't one until it gets an in hand inspection to see if it can be verified as a gouge or legitimate RPM.

I think it's just a filled MM and not an RPM at all and the surrounding areas of the mm look like MD

You've chosen to ignore the small spike extending from the top of the mintmark. While I don't think it's a significant blemish, I do believe that's what generated this post. I see no evidence of machine doubling. What do you see that convinces you otherwise? It seems to me that your opinions are as loosely based on reality as that of novicetoerr's. Your opinions are frequently wrong, frequently baseless, and almost seem designed to mislead our members. I suggest that you gain some more experience before taking a leading role on our message board.
