CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

1951 Canadian 10 cent DDO?

  • 1951 Canadian 10 cent DDO?

    I'm not familar with these and this coin has seen some rough times but it looks like zero in the "10" is doubled and the CEN looks to be notched on the left corners. Its too bad its so worn, corrections welcome

    It does appear to be a doubled die with the 0 having distortion, the extra thickness on some of the letters and the lower left corners of CENT having what appears to be notching. As you said though, it would be a bit difficult to match it to one die because of the wear.
