CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

A die clash and a inverted MM on a one Centavo Phillpine coin

  • A die clash and a inverted MM on a one Centavo Phillpine coin

    Here's a great coin it has an inverted S and a die clash on the obverse.
    I just want to know does anybody know what these are worth ,they are A United states coin and this one is in about MS 63 or better.This is a one centavo phippines 1944 S coin but minted at the Sanfransico mint in the united States

    I just wanted to post it a variety coin ,and an error coin

      The die clash i indicated in red Mike the clash is from the shield on the reverse of the coin.Thanks for looking Mike.

        That's not a clash. It's progressive, indirect design transfer -- a form of die deterioration.

          Thank you could it possibly be maybe a strike thru error.? I have two coins exactly alike that's why i thought it may be a clash die.

            I am quite sure of my diagnosis. Progressive, indirect design transfer occurs when a vague outline of one's die's design is transferred to the opposite die through the medium of thousands of planchets. Outlines are soft and indistinct, as you can observe on your coin.

                      I got this painting from a art site was I not able to do that I will take it off what could happen to me I guess the artist could make me pay a penelty for using his artwork and big bucks i would have to pay it, it happen to a friend of mine who did it and had to pay the artist big money.

                          No my name is Brad Rodregus. I think you are mixing up the names there is a famous italian Skater from italy , Sicily Is that who you mean.
                          When I downloaded the artwork it was on his page the Skater look it up on the WEB.

                          Well lets get back to coins but Thanks Joe Rockdude for letting me Know this .I just hope i don't have to pay this guy some big money.
