CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Hello everyone! This is my first post. I found this coin on 4/11/2011, While going througth some change. Its a 19993-P 5c.There's a metal strip pressed into the letter"E" on the reverse, It extends over to the letter"P". One of my best finds Enjoy!

    This is a struck-in rim burr, a form of pre-strike planchet damage.

        Even in BU condition, a struck-in rim burr is worth maybe 50c over face value. Since your coin is circulated, its market value is nil.
