CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

I use a Sony a230 (DSLR) to take photos of the whole coin.

I have a Dino-Lite Pro AM411 that I use most for micro photos

I also have a cheap ($20) GSI that I carry to shows. Its ok but no where near the quality of the Dino-Lite

Helping collectors find Coin Shows since 2008

I just got mine today. It is a Califone CM1-USB. I love it. Got it for $15 +$6.95 shipping on ebay from a guy in Tennessee. Thank goodness I didn't have to get it from Hong Kong or China and risk it being broken.

        Good looking pictures.

I have the older Dino-Lite AM211 which I have been using for about 3 years. Love it for taking a quick look at a coin. After looking at your pictures I might have to look at upgrading. The AM211 only has 4 LED’s and you can’t turn them off if you want to use another kind of lighting and it’s only 0.3 MP.
It sure is a lot easier to use than setting up the large scope and camera.
