CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Hello all,
    Received this in change. There appears to doubling on the letters "A" and "O" in CHACO and "C" in CULTURE. There is no other doubling elsewhere on the coin. It is NOT machine doubling or ejection doubling. PLease see photos. This is the 2012-P NEW MEXICO CHACO CULTURE ATB 25C circulation strike.

    It appears to be machine doubling. Incused lettering does put out an odd form of that type anomaly.

      Yes it does look a little strange, but I don't think it qualifies as a true doubled die. I agree with BJ.
