CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    I just got some error coins back from PCGS, and I was admiring this one (bought it in 2014).

    Then, I added to my PCGS Collectors Showcase set of nickel dollar errors and in the process of putting it in proper chronological order, I noticed that my other major strike through error was not only the same year, but almost identical (bought it in 2011).

    There has to be a relationship between these two error strikes, the coincidence is far to unlikely to be random...
