The ones thet keeps going thru Lincolns image appears to be harder to find. I read a story somewhere about the die gouge in the speared bison 5 cent coins . The author said a die gouge as large as the speared bison coin seldom ever happens. Well I have lots of die gouge coins in my collection that makes the die gouge on the speared bison look like a baby.
The one I like the most in my collection is probably a Minnessota state quarter that has a big raised die gouge that looks like a torpedo going towards the loon bird.
Then I have two California Quarters that looks comical. On the reverse side of them they have a fairley good size die gouge in the field of the coin that makes it look like John Muir has thrown a club at the condor bird and even below the bird is a few smaller die gouges the looks like the feathers are falling out of the bird. Two of these were all I could ever find and I would love to find some more of them.
