CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    1851/81? Large Cent

    So an online Coin Group on Facebook post coins they’ve sent in asking people if they think they’re going to come back as. He posted in 1851 large sent with a lamination peel! It came back as a N-6. I believe it went undiscovered as the 51/81 for the lamination peel because it was slightly more off-center than it should’ve been! So I told him to send it back to NGC or ANACS. He gave me permission to post it. Hope the photos come out ok, but I believe I’m right! I’ve 3 of them!
