I am looking at a very nice golden toned 1968 S Washington Quarter Proof. 1968 S proofs have the distinction of having 4 different possible reverse design varieties. I believe this one is the second most abundant of the four (VV lists 25% of the coins should be RDV-008). The characteristics are pointed leaf in front of arrow points that rise above the tips, no serif on the N of UNUM, no doubling on lower leaves and Q of QUARTER. The subject coin has all of the characteristics. Thoughts or comments?

CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors.
