There are five other smaller projects in various stages of completion. My Spring is full of things on my self-inflicted to do list.
I am just expressing my opinion. I do not claim to know it all and i do make my fair share of mistakes. I too am human. I do have a life away from here thats why notifications are off and the ignore list is busting at the seams.
I dont come on here as much as I used to. That seems to be a trend that is not going away. The majority of my notifications on here are turned off. I personally wander in on posts that I answered but it is uncommon for me to do so. I give my opinion and move on.
In my opinion, i see a few people who like to crow about their coins on their own posts and not many want to help the masses. They just post for numbers and not content. Some even delete posts if their crowing doesnt get any feedback. You should use the forum search feature and for example search for the phrase "closed". I did it for the "closed 3 variety" looking for infomation and found something totally unexpected so, lets leave that lay where it is at.
The influx of new users should keep some one busy for quite some time. I end up providing an opinion on posts that show some interest in the hobby rather than people who spam the forum with posts and ask, whats up with this coin. My ignore list is getting kinda full, and it helps filter out that and other noise.
Some people come in and ask questions that can be easily answered on a web browser search engine. Not sure of the answer or the reputation of the answer? Then post the question here with the link to the potential answer. Help the forum help you
There are plenty of posts to answer here and it takes time. A lof of time, you should try to research and offer an opinion and realize how much time has passed. One down about 20+ more to go each day.
A little research or better explanation on what people see along with better clearer photos eliminates that "garbage in equals garbage out" mentality. Taking photos of a monitor does make assessing a coin better. Its flat looking and cannot be zoomed in because the pixelation makes it look like a photo of a quilt. Get a cheapo microscope with a removable SD card. Crop the photo to remove all that unnecessary useless background and life is somewhat better. Plus, it makes photo smaller in size.
Lets just hope some one can take the time to educate the forum users on their questions. Others offer a simple answer which does not educate and that person is probably going to ask the same style question again and again.
My goal has always been to do between 4500 to 5000 posts and then, find something else to do. Believe me, my plate is pleasantly full. I have a post count in mind should I decide to move on and do something else, it will be kinda obvious by seeing that "magic number". No hard feelings, but on occasion, change is a good thing.
