CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    i've been doing this on and off for a long time now once i saw it on the web back in idk, 2009/10 or so.

    not my coin or image.

    here are a couple of mine. not an A+ effort but shows the effect nicely.

    for you tech geeks out there, the file sizes on the images below. 75.9kb (WOW) - the focal plane is the reeds, so the coin is a little out of focus due to depth of field and me not being an iso/aperture etc expert.
