In my opinion, it a toned coin which is common. It typically happens after it left the mint, but really does not matter where it happened.

Most Lincoln cents tone after a while. The Lincoln cents are graded and each receive a color which is either
    Red
    Red Brown
    Brown

Collectors interest seems to be in Red Lincoln cents, but the grade is very important.

I personally own a handful of proof cents that are either bright Pink, dark chocolate, or electric Blue. Toning happens due to temerature change, packaging or other conditions.

The reverse photo of that coin is so blurry i cannot make out much.

I have a photo taking tip in my signature block. Proper handling of coins will keep finger prints off the coin, and hopefully prevent the coin from turning Brown.
