CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Hello i came across a 1972D Lincoln cent with an error that has me baffled, could i get some help on this error. It looks like a cud but has design features on it, both obverse and reverse. Im calling it a reverse lamination, but am sure there is an actual technical name for the error.

In my opinion, you should post this in the error forum if it is an error. This way other people get to add their opinions as well. I have turned off all the notifications from this website because I was getting over 40 emails a day.

I am willing to give it a look via the forum, I cannot commit to holding a private conversation here since I do not keep track of these messages. I typically delete these after responding. Here I see one photo, the obverse. I cannot zoom in on it at all. Additionally, the photo looks very grainy to the point I cannot make any details.

Again, if you decide to post it in the forum area I will attempt to look it over time permitting. There are some other people here who are knowledgeable and like to help. They may answer before I do.
