1997 D 5c, Possible RPM, Horizontal mint mark?
I'm excited about this 1997 D 5c! I'm not sure what it would be classified as? Of course its RPM, but would that be completely accurate? You do not have permission to view this gallery.

In my opinion, its not an RPM. They stopped hand punching of the mint marks in the early 1990s. They added the mint mark to the master hub, so the repunched mint marks effectively became extinct after 1989.
With every working die designed to come out looking the same, this issue should be strike related. Now logically thinking about it, we have to figure out what it is. Its going through the types of errors and things like localized machine damage to figure this out.
I will attempt to circle back here later.
I feel pretty confident that Eric @eaxtellcoins may have seen this issue before.

by JohnnydzI got this 1962 25c Business Strike out of a P&D mint set. On the reverse it has what looks like a CUD where the mint mark should be, but it is right...You do not have permission to view this gallery.
