CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

This forum is design to educate. Making a statement that my coin is fake without an explanation as to why doesn’t help anybody, especially when it’s an incorrect statement. So then, why do you think it’s fake?

I am a retired Sr Vice President of a large United States regional bank, but that doesn't make me an expert on error coins. These types of error coins do make it out of the mint. There are plenty of books out there that explain the minting process and how errors coin are made and escape the mint. BTW, you still didn't explain why you think my error coin is fake.

You already said it was fake so you must have seen something that made you come up with this conclusion. What was your original reasoning?
