Are you referring to the maple leaf after the date?
IF SO...
The 1947 Maple Leaf refers to Canadian coins dated 1947 which bear a tiny maple leaf following the date to denote that they were actually minted in 1948. When the dies were ready in 1948 to correct the shortage, they started minting 1948 dated Coins.Proud Member: CONECA, TEC, HVNS, NS, ANA

Interestingly, the Maple Leaf next to the 7 was punched in by hand on dies that already saw use without it (and possibly fresh dies dated 1947). Variations in location can be found and repunching.Ken Potter
