CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

          This appears to be Die Deterioration Doubling -- exceedingly common for that year.

            Thanks MR.POTTER! I guess I really don't have a rebuttal, since you have been in the coin business before i was born.I do agree that the out side of her face may very well be DDD.But what makes her tongue stick out? plus what is the extra metal in front of her eye?I have pointed the area's in question out in blueImage654.jpg

              Canadian dies used for business strikes are chromium plated. When the chromium starts to wear away, the die deterioration in the exposed areas accelerates beyond what we normally see on US dies. This is the source of all the doubling including that near the eye and mouth.
