  • 2024 Double Ear Women's Quarter Dr Pauli Murry

While looking through a mint bag I had of this coin for the recently listed VDDO-001 and the die clash, I came across what appears to be doubling on the ear and possibly hair. I figured I'd share it here.
Also for the record, out of the $25 face bag, I found approx $20 face of VDDR-001 and approx $5 face of this double ear. All coins showed one or the other not both.

i'm never sure when a double ear on a washie qualifies as actual listable doubling, some are considered hub doubling iirc.

not sure how that standard applies to modern ones but that sure is a nice example to me with doubling showing on other parts of the center of the coin, have you sought a professional opinion or sent one off?

I've reached out to a few different people I know in the community. And I have sent one off for variety verification with a few other coins I had. We shall see if there is any traction on it at some point.

it may not be a bad idea if you find multiple examples of a coin you are seeking for discovery designation to send off:. a confirmation piece, if possible, is never a bad thing and only increases the chances of a listing although a lot of times it isn't necessary.

        good fortune to ya!

            gratz and well done!

happy to see it listed esp in light that there are other devices aside from the ear that are doubled. also glad for people these days that the mint keeps spitting out neat varieties and errors!!!
