2023-D Lincoln possible attribute consideration - 1 of 2 due to image limits
Hello all. This nice shiny came to my attention in early January. There are several potential variations IMO and I have not yet found any source that documents them. I have pinged several contacts on WhatNot, such as John Parker (@parkerpennies), who concur that this may be worth pursuing. Would someone please weigh in on whether my old eyes are deceiving me and if not, your recommended next steps. -
Last night I saw photos here and this Monday morning they are gone.
If you are looking for CONECA to attribute your coin, if they are the same coin denomination and potentially from the same working die (look exactly the same) then both may go on the same post. If they are different, it would be one coin per post.
Go to this forums main page.
Go the CONECA SERVICES
Go under ATTRIBUTIONS
Add a post under Attributions
I highly suggest adding as much text detail as you can about each photo you will upload to add clarity. Photos of the affected areas should be as clear, focus and with minimal glare. I suggest adding a full obverse and reverse of the coin. Those should be orientated correctly so it's less work for them to look over.
All other photos can be at whatever angles you wish, but are best at 90 degree angles so they can be flipped as needed.
CONECA staff are volunteers and several may work full time. The response time may be long so it is best to add as much info as you can through multiple posts before they answer. If CONECA decides that they want to examine the coin in hand, then they will let you know.
If you feel you have waited too long, you can contact Jamez ( yes, with a z). He can be found in the members list. Search for his name. Then click on the black cloud chat icon to leave him a private message.
Happy hunting.Gary Kozera
