1944 D DDO full double on “iberty”

Hey all. I’m new to the forums and new to collecting. Hoping to learn more about what I’ve found. Thank you in advance for any help provided.

I couldn’t find another example of this DDO, although it’s mentioned to exist. I would think a variety this clear would have other examples. What do you think?PICA0005.jpeg

In my opinion, the letters suffer from classic machine doubling, a form of worthless doubling. Look at each letter and note how much thinner they are, compared to a normal letter. For doubled dies, they typically are thicker and impressions are nearly at the same height.

If you brought all that lettering up to the same height, it would resemble one whole letter.
