Now that I have seen one, I must say that I am more impressed with it than I thought I would be. The 'Extra Leaf' anomaly is really, really bold. You can hold the coin 3 feet away and with reasonable eyesight and the proper light you can easily spot the 'Extra Leaf' die dent (or what ever it happens to be). All controversy aside - I think this variety will stand the test of time. It looks like a leaf - and is bold as can be. Just like the 3 legged buffalo nickel, I don't think collectors care what caused it. I think it will remain a popular variety and I can see why it made the Red Book so fast. Now if I can only find a ‘Leaf High’ at a price I’m willing to pay.
