CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Since trail dies are an extension of the design element and by the looks of your photos that show no design element affected, I would say no , it is not a trail die.

For trail dies, take a look at this site that is under construction. http://www.traildies.com

      Hi BJ,
Thanks again for the clarification. Your upcoming trails' web site looks great!
Would be very user-friendly and should be much faster than the .pdf files.
(Heeding yours and Bob's advice to not look too hard. Enjoying our inspections more than before, and with 3 pairs of eyes together.

      Hi Mike D.,
Will the Coneca variety webiste listings plan to migrate to BJ's similar format?
By conventienly viewing the actual pictures of the listings will be a very excellent guide and reference, to both long timers and beginners.

      Thank you all again,

There are no plans to add photos. James Wiles oversees the variety listings.

The coppercoins website has extensive photos of Lincoln cent varieties.
