CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

2006 D 1c LCM TRAILS???

  • 2006 D 1c LCM TRAILS???

    Hi ALL!

    Really interested on this variety. Have I correctly identified these as trails
    washing down/out the stylobates and steps?

    the mark left of lincoln if you'll notice extends up into the column, that is a result of a contact mark. the others i still think you are seeing the grain of the metal. to identify wavy steps you are looking for, the horizontal parallel lines of the steps to show a "wave" that seems to pull down from the columns
