    Sacagawea Dollar

While looking over my new 2008 s Proof set I noticed some doubling on the Sacagawea Dollar. It appears on most of the USoA Letters, eagles tail feathers and a few other aspects of the rev. I compared it to the Mint set and these aspects do not appear on the Mint Set Sacagawea Dollar.
Any Help/advice with this would be appreciated. I apologize for the poor pics as between the case and shinny surface of the coin it is very difficult to see clearly. The arrows point to area of the doubling.
    Thank you in advance

Since the doubling is in more than one direction, it's not a doubled die. It could simply be a side-effect of the fact that proofs are struck more than once. Any instability in the die or coin can produce microscopic doubling. Another possibility is machine doubling, which is also produced by instability in the coinage press.
