1958-D Lincoln Cent date bar - new variety or mint error?

Couldn't find any details about this particular variety. I'm seeing a raised bar connecting the 9 and 5 of the date on this Lincoln Cent.
The coin itself does not look like it has major PMD or planchet errors, and I cant see any gouge or otherwise that might have caused the raised area.

Does anyone know anything about this or have any ideas on what this might be?

In my opinion, its more than likely a die crack / die chip. It was pretty common for this to happen in the 1950s 1960s and some of the 1970s.
