In my opinion, although the photos of the coin are decent, the photo of the mint mark is too far away. We would need a clear close up of the mint mark with a small portion of the building and the rim. So, if an overlay is attempted, it can confirm or debunk the mint mark position. Distant photos can be extremely difficult to precisely line the photos up.
Doing an overlay eliminates guessing. Mint mark positioning is slightly different on every working die prior to 1990.Last edited by MintErrors; 03-31-2025, 09:28 AM.

I did a crude overlay and in my opinion, it appears that your coin's mint mark is much higher and to the Northeast toward the rim than the 1964 FS-501.
FS-501 to me appears closer to the building, more south west than your mintmark.
Additionally, your coin exhibits strong die deterioration. Its a form of a highly worn working die that struck this coin. Its all of the diagonal lines on the reverse of the coin, close to the rim.
One thing that did not help was the example on varietyvista was plagued by shadows. But, even so, the mint mark locations on your coin and the documented example that the overlays were close enough to see these were not a match.

In my opinion, this appears to be a heavily circulated coin with damage to the mint mark.
